CM Naqvi rebukes LGH administration for non-functioning of ACs

CM Naqvi's surprise visit to hospital Reveals mismanagement - Pakistan Observer

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday visited the Lahore General Hospital and reviewed the facilities being provided to patients at the hospital,

Mohsin Naqvi went around different wards of the hospital and found many wards in the hospital without functioning air conditioning units, causing discomfort and exhaustion among patients and doctors due to the heat.
He also inquired about the patients and asked about the treatment facilities.

The patients as well as their attendants expressed their dissatisfaction and piled up complaints before him regarding the absence of basic facilities.

The patients and their attendance told CM that in the absence of ACs and fans, they are compelled to ventilate their patients with hand fans in this humid weather. They filed complaints about the filthy washrooms and cleanliness.

Mohsin Naqvi consoled the complaining individuals and immediately ordered the health minister, health secretary, and medical superintendent to reach the hospital to address their grievances.

It is a pity that ACs were not fixed despite clear instructions from Mohsin Naqvi during his last visit to the hospital on August 10.

During his inspection, he asked for the AC maintenance contract and criticized the fact that despite substantial monthly expenses, most AC units were non-functional.

Expressing his dissatisfaction, the CM scolded the General Hospital’s administration due to poor conditions and patient grievances.
