The change of command ceremony in Pakistan Army will be held tomorrow

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is retiring tomorrow and the change of command ceremony in Pakistan Army will take place tomorrow. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa is retiring tomorrow after completing his 6-year tenure. The solemn ceremony of change of command in Pakistan Army will be held at GHQ.

In a ceremony held at GHQ, outgoing Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will hand over the Malaka stick, which is considered a symbol of army command, to General Syed Asim Munir, who received the honorary sword. He will become the 17th Army Chief to assume command. General Asim Munir will participate in the ceremony wearing the shoulder ranks and collar medal of the four-star general. Retired Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will be presented with guard of honour. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, chiefs of armed forces, senior serving and retired military officers, their families and federal secretaries will also participate in the ceremony.
