PTI leaders Qureshi, Asad get interim bail; Yasmin, Cheema not that lucky

PTI senior leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Asad Umar on Thursday obtained interim bail from an anti-terrorism court in Lahore until September 2,

Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar ordered both PTI leaders to join police investigation into torching of police vehicles during May 9 violence.

The court also issued notice to police in this regard and adjourned the hearing till September 2.

Yasmin Rashid’s remand extended

PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid’s judicial remand in connection with a case concerning May 9 vandalism and making speeches against institutions was extended by another 14 days.

The anti-terrorism court in Lahore ordered the police to again produce Yasmin Rashid in court on August 31.

Umar Cheema’s remand extended

The anti-terrorism court in Lahore extended PTI leader and former Punjab governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema’s judicial remand by another 14 days on Thursday and directed the police to again product him in court on August 21.
